Insects can increase, decrease, or show no effect. Warmer winter means earlier access to stream = higher reproductive success: ex. Sex of the offspring depends on the incubation temperature of the eggs. A dramatic change in sex is going to influence population size, because if there is too many females there is not enough males to assist with reproduction. Death rate: depend on how quickly species can respond, more mobile species can move away more easily, ex. Coral bleaching as algal symbionts leave tissue under warmer water. Causes them to die because symbionts provide the corals energy.
