Working in teams, committees: effective characteristics: Types of groups within the social services sector: Psycho-education or skill development groups (short term, have central theme, either preventative or instructional, focus on teaching/learning- hospitals, mental health centres) Social action groups: work together to create change (advocacy work in community, group that comes together to oppose building of student high rise) Network groups: more professional, build up referral network.
