As stated in the news release, there is a huge increase in demand and interest for organic or natural foods (carstairs, 2006). I don"t think there is a day that passes when i don"t see a. Facebook post, instagram post or even something on tv that does not mention organic food or an article on what new healthy foods you should start to eat and how it will help you live longer. People, now more than ever, want to know what they are putting into their body, what will make them live a long, healthy life, and how to slow down their aging as much as possible. The "demand for organic food is growing so fast that it is actually outstripping domestic supplies" (faber s. , 2017). Keeping this in mind though, i think it is important that people take the time to do their own research before jumping from one food trend to another.
