Mental illness is more severe, and has some type impairment on our daily function i. e. schizophrenia. It"s a 2 way street, poor mental health affects fitness level, fitness level affects mental health. Women diagnosed more, but men still have issues (i. e. drinking, violence) Poor people may have an increase in mental health issues. #1 is relationships i. e. breakups, roommates, etc. Moving away, money, academics, pressure, maintaining health. Bipolar disorder: up and down between bad mood, and hyper mood. Dysthymia: low depression, low energy, low mood. Clinical depression: major depression, low mood, low energy, low appetite, at least 2 weeks in length. Functioning is so impaired-hard to get out of bed. Social anxiety disorder: very anxious, very fearful of being in relationships, going out in public, etc. Performance anxiety: nervous of how you"re doing on exams, assignments, etc. General anxiety disorder: chronic, fear, anxiousness, shortness of breath. Ocd: obsessive compulsive disorder, roots in perfectionism.
