Bandura, children are actively trying to understand what goes on in their world. If person is smart, popular or talented, children and adults will copy their traits (celebrities have a responsibility because they are in the public eye) When we chose to have certain behaviors, there are consequences in all contexts. Self efficacy- influences our abilities in whether or not we can imitate, as we experience things in our world, we can determine what we will imitate. If you don"t believe you can do it, you"re not going to try and imitate the behavior. Children are actively thinking about their interactions and environment, they do not blindly imitate behavior, they are making choices. Our active and conscious choices will influence our behavior and how we grow. If a child is a problem child or if they don"t comply, brofenbrenner believes that it is a result of our environment and the way our family influences us.
