Uncertainty and butterflies were consider to be peripheral. People also describe love and joy similarly. Person to these answers is your attachment figure. Secure base: when were not distressed attachment system is not activated - we can pursue gaols with confidence (like a cheerleader) Safe haven: when distressed our attachment system activates- motivated to seek attachment figure- then attachment system deactivates - partner goes back to being a secure base.
