Childhood sexuality: sexuality can begin to develop in the womb and continues throughout childhood. 0-2 years; explores own body and genitals, enjoys nudity. 2-5 years; occasional masturbation (soothing), enjoys nudity. 5-8 years; engages in occasional masturbation (pleasure), may have crushes. 9-12 years; masturbate more regularly with a sexual focus, more crushes, curious sexually. Middle childhood (five to eight years): curiosity about genitals increases at this stage. Children may show their genitals to one another. Preadolescence (nine to twelve years): some behaviors are sexually related. Adolescent sexuality: there are four major development tasks of adolescent sexuality; Adapt to the physical and emotional changes of puberty.
