People believed it was not normal for women to orgasm. Women who enjoyed sex/ orgasmed were seen as deviant. Prior to marriage, men and women did not socialize. Marriage came late, mid 30s men and early 20s women. Men avoided sexual activity because it would drain their energy. Family bonds are most important, high priority on getting married and family. Sex positive culture, young boys/ girls are encouraged to get in touch with their sexuality. Age 13, boys were given lessons on sex and was followed by a socially approved sexual experience from an older women. Girls were taught sex from older women. Encouraged to have sex with multiple people to find one they are compatible with. Gender: the behavioural, cultural, or psychological traits associated with one sex. Gender roles: complex clusters of the ways males and females are expected to behave within a given culture. Human sexuality: the ways we experience and express ourselves as sexual beings.
