Title: theories of urbanization; measuring and monitoring urbanization. Don"t have to focus assignments on mega cities. Have learned to understand cities it is necessary to consider economic, social and political life so it is necessary to have a multidisciplinary approach. Researchers have found that urban life is increasingly tied together by the flows of people, goods, services and capital that interconnect cities. Have also learned that urban centers pulsate with the problems at the human nature interface. These problems range from local issues of air quality and food security to more regional problems of water shortages and more global problems related to climate change. Lets take a moment to visit dhaka on challenges and oppourtunities people experience (video) 400,000 migrants leave to dhaka for a new life. Now home to 15 million people (dhaka) Half of the population will be in urban centres in the next decade. The city has 1. 7 million people after independence from pakistan.
