Many improvements in this period in medicine and science as a whole. Like the first industrial revolution, it will not benefit everyone, but there are less protests this time much more wide ranging effects. Technology and the cycle of quick improvement (with regards to improving food quality, access to clean water and education, better rates of pay, etc. ) become ingrained in european consciousness in this period the society became recognizably modern. These improvements gave europeans a sense of self-confidence. Technological improvements will lead us to the first world war. Rise in electricity ability to generate power starts in 1840s on a small scale because it is too expensive and difficult to transmit and generate at this time. The technology of electricity was not very good at this time, but it was improving. This rise in electricity in britain offered consolation to british people that they are in the lead.
