Community planning is about citizens aspiring to a preferred future for their build and natural environment. The need to solve present (and avoid future) development problems. The problematic situations that spark planning action reflect the concerns and conditions of the time. Every decade has its characteristic problems because cities/towns are constantly changing also have new versions of past problems. The development of the built and natural environment of a community can be overtaken by new trends in the economy, technology, attitudes, new activities, and population (i. e. confront issues like traffic congestion, housing affordability, deteriorating natural environment, etc. ) A common reason for all planning deal with problems associated with growth. Quantitative change: increase or decrease in population, the number of structures, traffic, space required for the community, etc. Qualitative change: generally development build up of new areas, replacement of one land use with another, shift in the cultural mix of the population, etc.
