Karma yoga is an instrumental good that leads to jnana which is an intrinsic good. There is nothing higher on earth, so wisdom is highest. To those in constant union (meditation) and worship with love, he grants the power of understanding. It seems then that wisdom is the best, but that"s not the only thing it says. What is talked about is the yoga of meditation. The dhyana is greater than knowledge and karma. So the best one is not wisdom, but mediation, the lowest of all is devotion. By mediation some perceive the self, in the self, by the self, and others by the paths of works.
