Politics lec #4: political ideologies- a very brief survey. Together karl marx and friedrich engels co-wrote the communist manifesto, which called for the abolition of private property and required an extensive re-organization of society. The organization of the means of production created conflict between the classes. There needs to be a revolution for there to be socialism. The human necessity to produce and acquire what we need too live. Capitalism will eventually collapse because of the tension between the proletariat and capitalists. Its inevitable that there will be a successful worker"s revolution. The superstructure controls the government and that means government laws and policies are made to benefit the most powerful class (the bourgeoisie) Dialectic revolutionary change: process of class conflict and struggle, involving social contradictions as thesis and antithesis, creates class conflict and in the final proletariat revolution communism would be the result.
