Poliical culture: aitudes, beliefs and norms that people have developed toward government and poliics. Psychological disposiion of individuals: aitudes toward the poliical system, aitudes toward the role of the self in the system, knowledge, feelings, and judgement. Poliical culture is acivated by and inluences poliical aciviies: media, interest groups, corporaions and unions. Parochial: ciizens feel that they are removed from poliics: no inluence over decision-making, lack of interest in poliics. Subject: ciizens subject to decisions without consultaion: litle involvement in process, ciizens may be informed, but do not play acive role. Paricipant: ciizens play an acive role in poliics: inluence on outcome, constant and dynamic relaionship with poliical authoriies. Forms a central part of the poliical environment within which ciizens and poliical authoriies at all levels behave and paricipate. Afected by: nature of poliical organizaion/type of government, geography, history, culture, language, religion and relaions with others.
