Document Summary
The real world component of policy making- testing the ideas we developed and see weather it is actually going to work. Even though we made the decision, during implementation there are many decisions to be made: importantly: even really good policy ideas can fail if they are poorly implemented. Obvious form of policy we see being implemented: ex. traffic regulations (police officers implement the traffic policies, ex. garbage and recycling policies and both municipality and citizens have to implement it, ex. Administrative effort: creation of a unit for policy implementation (crown corporation licensing buildings to implement firearm licenses), ex. Players who implement policy: four different groups, public servants: create admin guidelines or provide policy directly (ex. Teachers or social workers: public enterprises/ crown corporations (fed and prov level): (ex. Medical profession have self-regulatory policies and are required to practise these themselves via discipline etc. )
