You can either support or reject a hypothesis, you do not prove one confirm or reject hypothesis if confirmed then cycle begins again strengthening the original theory. Theory an explanation for a broad range of observations that also generates new hypotheses and integrates numerous findings into a coherent whole theories aren"t opinions/ beliefs and aren"t equally plausible.
