Culture comprises (1) the human-made part of the environment and (2) the social institutions of the society such as norms, rules and laws. Culture is what we make it to be, whatever is functional for our society. In some cultures, i would be considered normal . Think of culture as a pair of glasses, each pair is tinted a di erent colour that impacts how we see the world di cult to see the world through di erent tinted glasses. We are not born cultural, we learn it from our surroundings. E. g. livelihood depends on shing, you become sherman hunter it pays of to be courageous and to search your environment. Environment you live in dictates and shapes the characteristics that are important for social behaviour. E. g. universal behaviours can be greeting someone, language, eating every culture has these universal behaviours but they vary across culture. There are culture di erences in practicing social behaviours and interpreting experiences.
