This theory elucidates how individuals learn by observing their role models. This is done via observation, modeling, and imitation. Models can include parents, members of the family, characters in a movie, peers, teachers, etc. they provide examples of behaviour to observe and imitate. Its proven that an individual is more likely to imitate behaviours from models of the same gender because they perceive them as more similar to themselves.
