Confound variable unintended variables, things that change, caused by manipulation of a variable. Focus on a single subject and describe it in great detail: explosions, change in personality. Lots of information, but difficult to generalize. Be careful generalizing a single case to a general population, be cautious: helps us generate testable hypothesis. The organization of behavior (1949: presents the first comprehensive theory of how complex, psychological phenomena, such as perceptions, emotions, thoughts and memories, might be produced by brain activity. Neuro-anatomy: study of the structure of the nervous system. Neuro-chemistry: they study of the chemical bases of neural activity. Neuro- endocrinology: the study of interactions between the nervous system and endocrine system. Neuropharmacology: the study of the effects of drugs on neural activity. Neuro-physiology: the study of the functions and activities of the nervous system: there are a lot of neuro hormones that act in the brain. Biopsychology 6 subdivisions: physiological psychology surgical or electrical brain manipulation.
