Ex. people who rank higher at time one will still rank higher than others at later times: mean level stability. Overall average of a trait over time. If it remains stable over time there is mean level stability: personality coherence. A persons manifestation of a trait may change, but the trait doesn t. Different types of consequences of the same trait over time. If there is a change two things have to happen: this change must be internal. Doesn t have to do with environmental factors: enduring. Looking at a factor that all people experience. Stability and change that occur between/in certain groups. Looking at people who have certain levels of certain traits and what it relates to. There is stability when we are babies in regards to temperament.
