Document Summary

Psychometric soundness: how consistently (reliability) and how accurately (validity) a psychological test measures what it purports to measure. The quality of the test is largely determined by the representaiveness of the sample of behaviour: ex. the following 4 items are samples of how a person might demonstrate the personality trait of humility. Although these 4 items together make up a humility scale, there are other items that could be used these 4 samples are not exhausive. I am an ordinary person who is no beter than others. I wouldn"t want people to treat me as though i were superior to them. I think that am enitled to more respect than the average person. I want people to know that i am an important person of high status. 3 & 4 are reverse keyed, so the scoring would be inverted. The condiions under which a test is administered afect the behaviour of the person taking the test.
