Diffusion tensor imaging: white matter connectivity (tracts, white matter is comprised of myelinated axon tracts, mri based measure that looks at the diffusion of water, measurement is affected by composition and organization of the white matter. What does this noise mean: resting-state functional connectivity: Used to measure and understand communication in the brain. There are correlations between brain regions spontaneous activity when at rest. Cortical networks: from classic fmri studies of task evoked responses, we know there are: Regions that become more active when people perform demanding tasks.
