Social belonging and groups: we are all part of multiple groups within our lives, social belonging is based on solidarity, solidarity all as one, common interest or shaped values, a sense of social belonging. Dyad: a group consisting of two members, an example is you and your best friend or a married couple, specific mother and fatherly roles. Informal groups: a less intimate gathering of people in which member interaction is not governed by explicit rules, an example is neighbors, member roles is friendly roles of having small conversation (hi, how are you?) Influences behaviors because if someone is rude you will not act positively towards them anymore. Primary groups: a small group whose members have a personal and often emotional relationship with one another. Immediate family and close friends are examples of this type of group: member roles are; mother and father/leaders, siblings/children or followers, typi(cid:272)ally (cid:373)ost i(cid:374)flue(cid:374)tial group, helps shape a(cid:374)d defi(cid:374)e a(cid:374) i(cid:374)di(cid:448)idual"s attitudes.
