Ideal types meaning and conceptual order on reality. Weber"s basic worldview: reality is meaningless and chaotic: people impose. Weber"s definition: an ideal type is formed by the one-sided accentuation of one or analytic construct weber. It"s not more points of view and by the synthesis of a great many diffuse, discrete, more or less present and occasionally absent concrete individual phenomena, which are arranged according to those one-sidedly emphasized viewpoints into a unified. Methodology of the social sciences p. 90: an average the gospels, a description of a concrete existing reality, a set of common characteristics. Get some deviation from mystical elements, lack of taking it back to. Doesn"t make sense to talk about average. Wouldn"t talk about facial hair as defining the differences between male and female. It is the characteristics we find essential to something of a particular type.
