Specific school, neighborhood, region, provinces influences culture of schooling. E. g. , well organized community can support commitment to learning, respectful students, interest: expectations. Desire and motivation for education bridges the first two components. E. g. , high expectations can at a time overcome low resources. Variety in ways education is valued and prioritized in family and other settings. Less likely to achieve or have high ambitions when it is not regarded valuable socially or culturally within your school or family context. Our past experiences and current social position influences what we come to expect or value out of education.
