Criticisms off twin and adoption studies: difficult to separate effects of heredity over environment, they work in conjunction. The xyy hypothesis: originally thought (1960) that males with the extra y chromosome, supermale, was more aggressive and inclined to criminal activity, later proved wrong. Testosterone: no firm evidence that high levels of tersoterone lead to antisocial or violent behaviour.
