Parents discuss how hard it has been on them and it isn"t an easy process but accept that their child was always a girl they just didn"t realize it at first. Easier to transition before they have been through puberty and harder to transition as an adult. The risk to youth when we hold them back is many mental illnesses and sometimes suicide attempts. Felt like a big step when child wore a dress for the first time and they don"t think it is exploring anymore but what their child wants. Didn"t like how people were perceiving him when people didn"t know him on the streets and it affected how he perceived himself so received surgery to take away the anxiety he was having due to the way he looked. Starting hormones she noticed she was becoming more emotional and wanting to stay away from everyone.
