Athamas remarries ino and she wants her children to come to power and not athamas. She convinces the women of boeolia to sterilize the grain so no harvest for that year. Gods came angry at athamas because of the harvest, so in return the gods want his children, Phrixus and helle: zeus sends down a golden ram, and saves the children and brings them to colchis. On the flight, helle falls off - hellespont - so only phrixus arrives at colchis. So he sends his grandkids across the black sea to visit phrixus family - but he built the ship to fall apart. In iolchis, aison is born first but lets pelias rule until jason becomes of age. Pelias plots to kill aison and jason so aison sends jason up north. Pelias gets a prophecy to beware man with one sandal.
