Social psychologists study the interaction between the person and the situation: lewin - b = f(p,e, behaviour is the function of the person and the environment. Its like a social glue - get people to like you: or a good impression, because mimicry is so ingrained, it makes sense why people find it difficult to resist the influence of others, can be bad sometimes. Social norms - the, usually unwritten, guidelines for how to behave in social contexts: govern our behaviour even without us knowing. Group dynamics: social loafing and social facilitation: group dynamics - ways in which people working in a group can influence others.
