Nature and nurture as allies: human behaviour such as personality is an inextricable combinaion of both geneics and environment. Does not have to be either nature or nurture: nature and nurture transact. Can work separately, together or can inluence each other: genes and the environment can interact with each other gene-environment correlaion. People change the environment and the environment then changes people. Genes and environment as co-actors: heritability. Is the amount of observed individual diferences in some characterisic that can be accounted for by geneic diferences. It refers to the diferences of people across a group or a populaion. We cannot know what contributes more to a personality of a paricular person, but we can know how much geneics and the environment accounts for diferences in a paricular personality characterisic of this paricular sample of people. Thererfore, it refers to the inheritance of a paricular trait in a paricular populaion at a paricular ime.
