Document Summary

What we must understand is that biology follows rules in nature that are based on chemistry and physics. When you look at living entities (things) we see that life is largely based on 4 main chemicals that are oxygen, hydrogen, carbon, and nitrogen. It"s (cid:374)ot that (cid:449)e do(cid:374)"t ha(cid:448)e othe(cid:396) (cid:272)he(cid:373)i(cid:272)als i(cid:374) ou(cid:396) bodies, its just that those 4 make up 98% of you. Its no surprise that when we measure the amounts of chemicals in the universe or in nature that oxygen, hydrogen, carbon and nitrogen are also common. A lot of chemicals are abiotic. (a, an in front of other biological terms means without) abiotic are not considered living. An example would be oxygen by itself is not considered living or hydrogen by itself is also not considered living. The four major organic molecules are proteins (meat, enzymes), carbohydrates (glucose), lipids (olive oil) and nucleic acids (dna).
