People are trying to draw links to what they are testing in the lab to what is happening in the environment. Animal manure and run o along with pesticides. Emerging contaminant: contaminates that are being researched and ones that are having an e ect on the environment. Chemical that are being prominent in the aquatic environment and they don"t break down very easy ( re retardants) Plants and animals sterols, they are hormones that are found that are discharged in waste. Indicator species, animal species in the water body, sh, frogs, insects. Smell - changing phosphorous and nitrogen levels.
