Determinate - it grows then stop growing and goes form vegetative to reproductive and produces fruit and it will mature at mostly the same time. Indeterminate - the vine tomato but they grow then start to ower and the fruit matures and you can harvest them as the plant is goring and fruit is maturing. They will not mature all at the same time. You need to stake them so they have support. Hybridization - cross between 2 plants, eggs from different plant and the egg from another plant, is a cross between unrelated plants. Cross pollination - if pollen and eggs are from different parents. Open - pollinated - we don"t control where the pollen comes from, for vegetable production means there is many plants of one cultivar which the bees move the pollen in within the same cultivar.
