We have to fight to keep it around. Asks tough questions an makes people uncomfortable. The people it tends to make uncomfortable are the ones that have enjoyed holding the power, the privilege. Represents a new way of presenting knowledge. In three main areas: academics, community, affirmative action. Three levels of action: consequence raising, acquisition of knowledge and formulation of theories, political action and social change. Politics of location: each of us is situation in the world in an unique way. We have to somehow come into terms with our own questions. There is no wrong way to learn. She does something good about the experience, she writes an article for others to learn from. There are many, amazingly productive, realizations she has from this conflicting moment. She was able to begin analysis, questionings. Don"t need to bow down to stereotypes.
