Interventional radiology for treatment of certain medical condition & cancer: thyroid cancer radioactive iodine treatment. Valence shell: a valence shell is an atom"s outermost electron shell, the tendency of an atom to participate in a chemical reaction depends on the # of electrons in the valence shell. Types of chemical bonds: there are three types of chemical bonds important in human physiology.
