Self esteem is what i think and how i view my self concept. People with high self esteem: tend to take criticism based on behaviours rather than the person and take compliments as acceptable. Low self esteem: i"m not okay and you"re not okay, nervous around, judge other people"s motives harshly, accept negative criticism hard and personally, tend to consider than positive comments are misdirected, misinformed, or come out of ulterior motives. Reflected appraisal: what i observe other people think about me and how they view me or perceive me. Social comparison: comparing myself to those around (healthy and unhealthy: associations with groups. Where i hold value and association: roles we assume. Prototype: a generalized conception or fantasy of the ideal qualities of a group: our own labels. Thoughtful consideration of who i am within the universe. Material self physical reality: that which we own. Social self the self as produced through interactions with others (our relationships)
