Lecture 12 personality: sum total of beliefs, perceptions, emotions, attitudes and behaviour, enduring dispositional qualities/traits, fairly stable and consistent. Personality and career: work that reflects personality more likely to be more fulfilling, being yourself in the work place, not having to act like someone else, want to understand others, working with people with similar interests. Informal personality assessments: observation, observing actions, interests, etc. Interview: answering questions related to personality, lists, do you check off what you want to see yourself as or what you are. Jpi-r (jackson personality inventory, revised): analytical, emotional, extroverted, dependable, opportunistic, keirsey temperament soreter, neo-pi-r, 5 personality traits: neuroticism, extraversion, agreeableness, openness, Conscientiousness: mbti (myers briggs type indicator, carl jung"s theory, variations in behaviour, personality: 4 dimmensions. Type: 4 dimensions (e/i) extroversion/introversion: e outside world, i inside world (s/n) sensing/intuition, s 5 senses. More focused on facts, focused on what is happening now, more reality based. More standard way of thinking, scheduling, planning to finish work.
