Document Summary

Interphase - steps where cells are doing their thing and getting ready for mitosis. G2 - cell getting ready for mitosis. M phase - cell division happens mitosis = division of the nucleus. To get in or out of nucleus need to have certain signals chromatin - dna and protein combination nucleoplasm - similar to cytoplasm in cell. Dna will get replicated, membrane will break down as moving into mitosis. Cells in gnot, are perminantly stuck in g phase. cannot be replaced. Centromeere located near middle - metacentric chromosome. Metaphase - chromosomes move to equator of cell (midline). only thing oriented is sister chromatids. one faces one pole, and other faces other pole. nuclear membrane has disappeared. microtubules have attached. Anaphase - chromatids are getting pulled apart. being pulled to centrioles (disjuction). non disjunction is when they are not pulled apart fully or properly.
