When wind is going into two different directions. This is where you get a lot of turbulence, and can lead to deadly weathers. 1: approaching cold front cold are wedging under warm air: cold front pushes up warm air causing rain, warm air pushed up releases a lot of moisture. In climates like ours; in the summer: warm updraft, cold downdraft, no conventional thunderstorms over oceans. Multiple-cell line and cluster storms; a bunch of single-cell storms happening at a single time. Squall line multiple-cells in a line; they form a line due to gust fronts; frontal thunder fronts. Super-cell when the updrafts and downdrafts start to twist around each other. Thunderstorm rotation from interaction of the cold pool and warm inflow. Greater wind shear + moisture = conditions favourable for funnel development. Warm most air + cool, dry, polar air e. x. Gulf of mexico air plus cold air from canada.
