Society changes, law changes: legalization of marijuana, criminal judges policy, di erent types of interpretation : literal or purpose behind legislation. Criminal law look at purpose: evolution of rape / sexual assault. Objection: greater protection of women right and body. Wives can be raped and it wasn"t considered assault. Must be male only women can assault another women as well, or men. Tuesday, january 16, 2018 assault another man: or any other genders. Sexual assault required penetration: penetration dint occur = not rape, reproduced stereotypes within society. Criminal law reform : changed to crime of sexual assault from crime of rape.
