Politics around land, water and energy: use, access and struggle for control and survival. Influences our daily lives and people who are in need of development. Less than 3% is fresh water, only 0. 8% of that is fresh surface water and 12% groundwater which is able to be used by humans, breaks down even further where less is available. There is little fresh water in its totality for use by humans. Water conflict chronology list and water conflict chronology map links in lecture slides. Water issues intense everywhere in the world. Economic water scarcity is when finding a reliable source of safe water is often time consuming and expensive. Water can be found, simply requires more resources to do it. Most disturbing form of water scarcity: almost entirely a lack of compassion, good governance that allows the condition to persist.
