Early Cases of HIV (when know one knew what HIV/AIDS was)
• Cytomegalovirus (CMV) – a version of herpes virus (harmless in normal
humans during latent stage, but dangerous to immunocomprised patients)
• Candidal Mucosal Infection – “thrush”; a fungal infection involving the mouth
