Ontario court of justice: lowest court in ontario. Sometimes run by justices of the peace (magistrates) (green robe) Power is given to provincial court to very specific offences such as driving when suspended. Some situations specifically for provincial superior court of justice. Accused gets choice of trial, jury, court unless very serious crime. Trials can be infront of provincial court judge, superior court judge alone, or a superior court judge and jury. Appeals from provincial, criminal cases start at superior court then go to courts of appeal. Have to find error of law in lower court. Apply same facts as presented at previous trial. About the legal rules: what was done wrong at trial courts. Case appealed must raise an issue of public importance, or should"ve been decided by supreme.
