Descripion of the kingston riot: a lot of them tesiied (50) because they wanted parole. Another reason they tesiied was because the murder they witnessed goes against human principles and values. A lot of them said they want back to their cells and vomited ater witnessing what they did. Iniial stages of prison riots riots vs. disturbances: disturbance is when inmates rise up and destroy prison property and carry on, but don"t take hostages. Usually involves a large proporion of the inmate populaion, and are rare. A riot might last 3-4 days: there are certain paterns in riots. The beginning of any prison riot is chaoic, opportunisic or planned. They are released from their cells and begin a spree of destrucion.
