Coercive Power: Power based on fear
Reward Power: Power achieved by being able to reward things that others view as
valuable
Legitimate Power: Power as result of a formal hierarchy
Expert Power: Based on special skills or knowledge
Referent: Examples are role models. When someone has power over you because
you admire them.
Information Power: power that comes from access to information.
