Danny- people want to do the work they believe in, they were working for a greater good beyond themselves. Motivation- is the process that accounts for an individual"s intensity, direction, and persistence of effort toward reaching the goal. Theory x, the person dislike work, avoid work, must be controlled/ threatened to work. motivated. Theory y, the person likes to work intrinsically motivated- reflect internal desire to do something. Reflect external factor to do something like pay bonus, rewards. Most motivation theory are need or process theory. Need theory- when unsatified of their needs, will result in motivation. Self actualization- drive to become one is capable of being. The base ones need to be satisfied prior than higher order needs.
