After a few recordings, all the band members would come together and listen to the playbacks where they would deliberate on which one was the best: there were mistakes on stax recordings! Stax was more interested in the energy of the recording rather than how perfect it was: moto(cid:449)(cid:374) did(cid:374)(cid:859)t let (cid:373)istakes out. Otis redding: some friends of otis were invited up to stax to record. Otis had a car, so he volunteered to drive them up. After his friends recorded, people started talking to him and they liked him!
