Document Summary

As we all know, our weekly meetings have not been running as efficiently as they should. I would like to share with you what i have learned about conducting meetings in my pd3 course. Everyone should be aware of the purpose of the meeting, the people who are attending the meeting, the format of the meeting, the length of the meeting, and the agenda. If there are new attendees, introductions should be made before getting to the first order of business. The agenda has time limits for every topic; stick to it. If you are presenting a topic at the meeting, be sure to look at how much time is allocated to you. Prepare beforehand so that you do not go over and take up someone else s time. Present your topic, state your main points, and give examples to support them and help the audience better understand. In order to benefit and learn from meetings, be prepared.
