Nerves: content creation: be prepared but not over-prepared. Too much content means you got way to fast, understand that you have to accept limitations of time: limit content and expectations, think carefully about structure. Nerves: performance preparation: design good notes and practice with them, speak slowly, don"t be afraid to use visual aids. Put the audience at the center and build the presentation around them. Audience analysis: consider using an audience profile: written or mental: interests, values, age, expectations, prior knowledge. Purpose: either to inform or to persuade: know what audience members want from you, as a guide: know what info will be included, excluded.
