Edge city: suburban district within a metropolitan area with mostly office functions and some commercial functions. Pittsburgh: experienced population loss in the city but the city is still considered an example of quality of life. Showing that depopulation is not the end of the world. Most people would prefer to live in a detached home. With urban dispersion: housing prices are lower, more likely to get involved politically because you feel more comfortable with the people. Take advantage of areas that have already been developed.
